7 Unusual Places To Find Content Ideas
One of the major challenges people face when it comes to consistently creating and sharing content online is in knowing what exactly to talk about.
In this post, I will be sharing with you some of the places where I look to for content ideas when working with clients.
If you ever feel like you’ve run out of what to write or talk about, look at these places for inspiration.
1. The comment section
Explore comment sections of posts related to your industry/nice, including your own posts, posts from influencers, competitors, industry leaders, etc. If you find any popular post relating to your niche, look at the comments.
2. Quora
Check out the questions people are asking on Quora and the answers that are given. The questions will give you ideas of what to write about, and the answers will give you insights.
3. Pinterest
There are so many pins on Pinterest. Search for the ones in your niche and you’ll find a lot of content ideas and resources.
4. Industry-related online forums
Industry-related online forums, groups, tribes or communities (especially on Facebook) usually have a large collection of contributors. What are they talking about?
5. Industry publications
Look for the popular topics in major blogs in your niche, industry publications, trade magazines, etc.
6. Influencers
Look at influencers in your niche; what are they talking about? What questions are people asking them?
7. Competitors
Research your competition. What are they talking about? Which of their content perform better than others? Subscribe to their newsletters, check out their free offers. Etc.
Final Note:
These sources are to give you ideas of what people are looking for information about. Be creative when adapting whatever content you see somewhere else. Do not copy people’s content and titles, or you will lose your authenticity.
